Our Manifesto

The Pappy Squatch Mission

Who We Are

Founded in 2026, we are a collective of seasoned outdoorsmen, local historians, skeptical scientists, and curious minds. We trade sensationalism for science, and tall tales for trail cameras.

What We Do

We conduct rigorous field research, catalog community sightings, and analyze physical evidence. Through audio monitoring, footprint casting, and environmental study, we seek empirical truth.

Where We Search

Our primary jurisdiction is the rugged terrain of Ahtanum, Washington. From the deep timber of the Ahtanum State Forest to the eastern slopes of the Cascades, this is our backyard and their sanctuary.

The Core Motivation

Why We Do It.

Because the woods hold secrets that deserve to be understood, not feared. We believe that acknowledging the unknown preserves the raw magic of the Pacific Northwest.

For generations, locals have experienced things in these woods that defy conventional explanation. We do this to honor the stories of those who came before us—the seasoned "Pappies" of the valley who saw what others wouldn't, and who taught us to respect the forest.

We aren't just looking for a creature; we are preserving a heritage. We are here to bring scientific rigor to local legend, and to prove that sometimes, looking closer reveals a much bigger world.
